I could not resist attending WordCamp this year. I am always busy during the NYC WordCamps but this time I canceled everything and committed my weekend to WordPress epicness.
I also dragged camera gear and taped 12 hours of video (140 GBs in raw mov) which according to Jane (http://jane.wordpress.com/) will end up on wordpress.tv, hopefully soon.

I remember after my first WordCamp (SF 2008), I was so hyped I spent the rest of the summer making themes and etc. Now that I am spending most of my time on wordpress client site development, its even worse, (or better depends how you look at it), I have ideas just exploding in my head.

For starters the GNU GPL (http://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl.html)
I am going to spend a chuck of my time converting all of my themes that i have done for clients to GPL compatible. The goal being submisison to the wordpress.org theme repository. I think for the most part I have been scared to submit my shitty work, but now I think I have a reached an acceptable level of theme development and I should share my work in the hopes of others using/modifying/copying/pasting whatever. I would not mind, so I will ask my clients as well if they agree with the release of their themes. I am pretty sure that most will not agree but to hell with them, I will release them anyway.

Secondly Buddypress

I have been using BuddyPress for some time now and its a revolutionary addition to WordPress. And I need to give back, so I will try to be more active on the forums and the IRC asking and answering questions. But more importantly I will try to develop a theme for BuddyPress.

Thirdly Plugins

I have developed few plugins for clients and now its the time to modify them and get them GPL ready for release.

So I am very very excited, its 1 AM and I can’t fall asleep.

this is the first post in a very very long time, and I am sure that no one reads this blog, but who cares, I will try to post new stuff everyday, and get on with posting more tutorials and other wordpress related tips/tricks. thanks for reading this blah blah, since you got down so far give your self a treat
